Enhancing Knowledge and Research on CSR in Europe.
Workshop 3: CSR Research in an enlarged Europe

On the December 7th, 2005 EABIS together with the Warsaw School of Economics (WSE/SGH) hosted a multi-stakeholder meeting in Warsaw, Poland. Over 50 persons from 9 different CEE countries as well as various from the ‘former EU-15’ participated. The day consisted of introductory presentations, followed by discussions, debates and smaller working group sessions. The two distinct objectives of the meeting were articulated as follows:

  • To explore in greater depth the dynamics of the debate surrounding CSR and the role of business in society in the CEE context in an enlarged EU
  • To identify current knowledge gaps and research needs, specific to the region

The summary workshop report is now available for donwload here. It is a synthesis of the key issues and resulting knowledge gaps and research needs as expressed by the participants that emerged during this exploratory day. Detailed report will appear on this page in March 2006.
