The network has been established after the December 2005 conference hosted by Durham Business School entitled “Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Identifying the knowledge gaps”. The conference resulted in the special issue of Journal of Business Ethics.

Corporate Responsibility and Innovation Clusters

The intent of the network is to bring together researchers with experience in their own country, who have studied clusters of innovation and/or innovation for sustainability from a variety of perspectives – innovation policy, firm capabilities, and corporate responsibility - to enable the construction of a more transdisciplinary understanding of this phenomenon and to develop the ground for comparative research that enables the conditions that inhibit or promote the activities of clusters to be developed.
