Deadline extended: Call for contributions for 'Practical Wisdom for Management and Economics from the Buddhist Traditions'
For this conference we welcome contributions from all traditions, schools, branches, streams or denominations of Buddhist thought. All interested can do so by 15 July 2012.
Buddhism is a religion of wisdom and knowledge because Buddhist thoughts and teachings cover all aspects of human life and many academic disciplines. Regarding management, Buddhism has its own unique traditions and practical wisdom, which has evolved over a long period of time.
For this conference on 'PRACTICAL WISDOM FOR MANAGEMENT AND ECONOMICS FROM THE BUDDHIST TRADITIONS', we welcome contributions from all traditions, schools, branches, streams or denominations of Buddhist thought as: Theravada, Mahayana including Chan Buddhism, Pure Land Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, Nichiren Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, Shingon, Tiantai (Tendai) Shinnyo-en, Vajrayana and Nava Bauddha. Contributions should explore the nature and contemporary relevance of the Buddhist wisdom traditions for management practice, management education and economics.
We invite interested scholars and practitioners to submit a one page proposal outlining their proposed topic and the nature of their contribution. Please download the full call for contributions.
The deadline is 15 July 2012 and proposals must be submited by e-mail to Cristian Loza Adaui, Editorial Assistant: cristian.loza@eabis.org.
Proposals will be reviewed and the authors informed of acceptance by 31 July 2012. The conference will be hosted by the Business School of Thammasat University, Bangkok, on 15-16 November 2012. A full final paper will be expected by 10 December 2012.
