Business In Development: Major EU Research Opportunity Expected This Summer
The European Commission’s 2013 Social Sciences Research Work Programme will be formally launched this July at the Euroscience Open Forum in Dublin. It is expected that the Programme will include a € 7-8 million call for proposals on business in development.
Based on previous indicators, the specific focus is anticipated to be on the role of multinational firms in achieving the Millennium Development Goals.
The INSEAD Colloquium last October highlighted the EABIS network’s capacity – both corporate and academic – to generate thought leadership and innovation around such a challenging theme. The EABIS central team is committed to bringing together a minimum of 1 network proposal later this year. An open call to all members for Expressions of Interest will follow in the spring, once more is known about the content of the Work Programme. Last but not least, a members-only event will be held in September to launch the proposal process. Final bids will be submitted in early February 2013.
In the meantime, find more information on the Euroscience Open Forum.
