“Marie Curie” Initial Training Network – FP7 People Work Programme 2012
EABIS actively seeks Expressions of Interest for the design and delivery of innovative PhD research and training programmes.
Background and objectives
We are particularly keen to receive proposals from disciplines related to the management of in-company innovation driven by sustainability. By bringing together multi-sector and multi-disciplinary team of experts in an International Research Training Network led by EABIS, we anticipate the programme can make a significant contribution to the understanding of managerial competences and organisational capabilities that companies only recently have begun to develop together with sustainability practice in-the-field.
In the event of successful bid, the programme will be funded by the EC FP7 “Marie Curie” ITN programme and will start in January 2013. For more information about the FP7 Marie Curie ITN programme please read related People Work Programme 2012 and Guide for Applicants.
Guidelines for expressions of interest
EABIS will consider EOIs for participation in a Multi-partner ITNs (ITN) bid. EABIS Academic members are kindly requested to send proposals for innovative PhD programmes to Antonio Scarafino, Research Manager (email: antonio.scarafino@eabis.org) by Monday 12 September (12.00 CET).
Proposals should contain a short description of the research and training proposal identifying a prospective business partner as a research site where the doctoral training could be situated; an academic and a business supervisor; and, the core discipline(s) of the PhD programme.
Evaluation
Proposals will be selected and evaluated by a peer-review committee chaired by Dr. David Bevan, EABIS Academic Director and Prof. Nigel Roome, Chairman of the EABIS Academic Board on the basis of the three main criteria:
1-Pre-existence of a PhD programme including cooperation with business in defining the objectives of the PhD’s research project and its methodology.
2-Originality and innovative aspects of the methodology proposed for the research and training programme.
3-Expected impact on the career prospects of the PhD student and employability of researchers in both the private and public sectors.
Only the selected proposals will be invited to co-develop the bid that will be submitted by early January 2012.
