Participants

The conference brought together a range of attendees and speakers from across the corporate responsibility spectrum including the European Commission, the Italian Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs, academics, NGOs and corporate responsibility managers at global companies, including founding EABIS members Unilever and Microsoft.

A very special guest speaker was Pedro Ortún, Director, DG for Enterprise and Industry at the European Commission. This represented the Commission’s first public comments since its Communication on CSR two days earlier with Mr. Ortún giving further insight into the Commission’s stance and thinking on corporate responsibility.
