Event Background: Part of the "Good Practices Stakeholder View Project" led by the HWZ Center for Strategic Management: Stakeholder View, co-funded by the European Academy of Business in Society (EABIS) Corporate Research Programme, sponsored by IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, Shell and Unilever.

The Conference: "Good Practices of the Stakeholder View"

This event signalled the conclusion of a prominent two-year project co-funded by the EABIS’ Founding Corporate Partner Research Programme. Debate and discussion focused on the findings and outputs of the project, which identified how companies can increase value and reduce risk through better strategic stakeholder management.

The “Good Practices of the Stakeholder View” Conference aimed to inspire a thought-provoking, high-level debate on core stakeholder issues relevant to business. Participants benefited from:

  • A unique combination of renowned speakers from business, science, politics and society
  • Presentations and discussions that tackle key business issues and look to provide empirically founded answers based on the practical implementation of a stakeholder view within the corporation
  • An opportunity to discuss future business-relevant knowledge priorities and benchmark current activities

  • Interactive panel discussions that will challenge accepted ideas of traditional stakeholder practice
