CEEMAN
CEEMAN is an international management development association established in 1993 with the aim of accelerating the growth in quality of management development in central and eastern Europe.
CEEMAN is a global network of management development institutions interested in quality of education and innovations in this field, as well as in the broad area of subjects related to change. CEEMAN has expanded to include 180 institutional and individual members from 43 countries in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia.
CEEMAN activities:
  • IMTA-International Management Teachers Academy – a major European faculty development program. Since 2000 IMTA has educated 400 management educators from 120 business schools and universities from 33 countries around the world. IMTA Alumni Association is a platform for continuous support and mutual cooperation among alumni and their respective institutions.
  • IMTA Modules on Educational Material Development, aimed at building case writing and research capabilities, while at the same time producing world class educational material through individualized coaching support from leading experts in the field.
  • Developing operational excellence (CEEMAN Program Management Seminar) a unique program for the program managers and directors in charge of design and delivery of educational programs.
  • Accreditation: CEEMAN International Quality Accreditation – IQA, an international scheme which is responsive to the context and environment-specific mission of business schools, their overall quality, creativity, innovativeness and impact made.
  • CEEMAN Champion Awards have been established in 2010 to recognize achievements in teaching, research, and institutional management by individuals associated with CEEMAN.
  • CEEMAN Annual Conferences and ExEd Forums on major leadership challenges and issues and their implications for management education and leadership development, with world leading authorities as keynote speakers. CEEMAN also co-organizes international conferences in partnership with other national/regional and international associations.
  • Deans and Directors Meetings focus on the business schools leadership challenges.
  • International research projects: Assessing Management Training Needs at the Achieved Level of Transition, Survey on Poverty Reduction and Management Education, Survey on Business Schools Responses to Global Crisis, etc.
  • Case writing competitions with twofold objectives; (a) to develop relevant case material for the transition and emerging economies and change related issues and (b) to develop case writing capabilities in CEE and emerging economies.
  • PRME: CEEMAN is a member of the Steering Committee of the UN Global Compact initiative on Principles of Responsible Management Education and is leading the Working Group on Fighting Poverty.
  • Promoting innovation and sustainable development among youth: CEEMAN is a co-founder of the Challenge:Future project which already in its first year (2009/2010) included 14,000 students from 960 institutions and more than 180 countries.
  • Publishing: CEEMAN News, Conference Proceedings, videos from major CEEMAN events, CEEMAN Dialogues, Case Collections, research project reports, CEEMAN Directory of Management Development Institutions.
